St. Pete Beach Sanitary Sewer System Offline – Milton Update #33

Oct 16, 2024

October 10, 2024 by Patrick Heinzen

On Oct. 10, the City of St. Pete Beach announced their sanitary sewer system is at capacity. Pump station #1, the main pump that takes sewage off the island, is offline. Residents should not use anything connected to the sanitary sewer system.

This includes toilets, sinks, showers, washing machines, and dishwashers. The City urges residents to not allow any water to drain into the sanitary sewer system. Draining water can cause sewage backing up into homes or businesses, through sewer connections.

The City will advise residents when it is safe to use the St. Pete Beach sanitary sewer system.
